Praktische opdracht: Zetmeel Practicum (engels)
Material.
What do you need ?
1. a dropper
2. a drip plate
3. iodine solution
4. different kinds of food: tuck, bread, cheese, a sausage, a potatoe, a peanut, maizena, milk, sunflower oil, eggwhite.
Method...what to do?
First: You put the different kinds of food in the different holes on the dripping plate, all in a different way: The milk and oil using the dropper, and the rest using a pincet.
Second: Write down all the names of the products which are on the dripping plate, in the same order you are going to check them on starch.
Third: Use the dropper to check the products. You just put one drop on each product. If it turns blue there's starch in it, light bleu less starch, darker blue more starch.
Results....
(if the product becomes blue there's starch in it)
The tuck went pretty much blue, so there's starch in it.
As you can see the bread went bleu what tells us that there is starch in it.
The cheese didn't turn blue, so no starch
The sausages didn't become blue again no starch
The potatoes became blue and again starch in it
The peanut also became very bleu.
The Maizena became bleu.
The milk didn't get bleu
The oil stayed in its own color
The egg white neither became bleu.
