Gedichten: Avoidable dead
AVOIDABLE DEAD
She was my love, my only one.
Now she's dead, leaving me behind.
I can't feel anything, I'm feeling numb.
She is always in my head, I can't get her out of my mind.
Your dead came as a chock to me.
Why do people drink when they're going to drive?
I truly believe you could not see,
this black car crashing down into your bike.
It was a beautiful weather on your funeral.
People were crying and the priest went on,
about how you went to heaven and now you're happy, but what about me?
I really wanted to raise a family with you, I still do.
I know you knew I wanted to marry you.
We would have a house by the river,
and a garden, where our children play.
But that will never happen now,
'cause this man took it all away.
