My favourite moment is when Joey?s father is outside the house with Mary Anne and Allison in it. I like it because it has much tension, other parts also have tension, but I like this part more. It is also a part with misunderstanding. Joey?s father did not want to hurt Mary Anne or Allison, but because he lumped through a door they did not know it, so they shot him.
I would recommend this to other students. It is a very nice book, with mystery, tension and compassion. It has 370 pages, that is a drawback, but because it is a very nice book, you read right through it.

The story took place in Canaan, New Jersey in the U.S. and in Sugarloaf, California.
The family Carpenter lives in Canaan and later Mary Anne, Allison and Logan move to Sugerloaf. In Sugarloaf Ted, Audry and Joey Wilkenson live. When Ted and Audry are dead, Mary Anne, Allison and Logan come and live there; Mary Anne is Joey?s guardian.
The story takes place in the months August and September, the year is never mentioned, but it is possible that the story takes place in the year when it was written, 1993.
The title of the book is Guardian. Ted and Audry Wilkenson are the parents of Joey, later in the book it becomes clear that Ted is not the real father. Mary Anne Carpenter is a good friend of Audry and when Joey was born they made an agreement that when his parents die, Marry Anne will take care of Joey and become his guardian. In the book the parents die under mysterious circumstances and Mary Anne becomes Joey?s guardian.
The theme of the book is misunderstanding. Joey and his father do not want to hurt anyone, but because people think they are strange and want to kill them, they have to hurt other people.

I could not find a summary and now information about the writer.

Mary Anne and Allison were in the house, they could hear the howling of a wolf, and it was very close. Then a great man jumped through the window and took Mary by the arm. He was very wild and Mary could not get loose. He was ripping al the cloths of Mary. Allison took the gun and shot, miss. The force of the gun threw Allison back. The man then became very angry and with a single blow he killed Mary Anne. Allison ran, but the man was to fast, he leaped on Allison and began tearing her apart. Then Joey came back. Although he liked Allison he knew his father was doing the right thing. After a few minutes all was over, all the people in the village were dead. Joey and his father then went back to the forest. They knew they would be hunted forever, so they left to go somewhere, although they did not know were it was.

The part that appealed to me most was when was explained that Joey?s father was not a normal man, but that he got the genes of a wolf. That was the most important part of the book.
It explains everything.
VII
I choose an article about the human genes. The father of Joey was experimented on when he was in prison. He got the genes of a wolf, because he got those genes he became a very strong man with a strange appearance. Joey got those genes from his father and became also like a wolf.
