Andrea Baxter: Canadian woman who works for the BBC, she?s offered a job in London.
MINOR CHARACTERS
Priest Matt Conally: he pays mike and moira a visit. He says he is an old classmate from mike, he is from the IRA and wants to protect his nephew Kev who was at Mike his house for the hostage.
Kevin McDowell: obnoxious young boy, at the age of 19. He works for the IRA.

Brian Moore was born in Belfast where he became a journalist. He spent time in New York and than moved to California where he now lives. He has twice won the Canadian Governor General?s Award for fiction and has been given a special award from the United States Institution of Arts and Letters.
Brian Moore describe the problem in Ireland. He doesn?t like the IRA because in his book he tells about the IRA in a negative way.
OWN OPINION AND CHARACTERSTIC PASSAGE
I liked the book and it was easy to read. In my opinion it was a thrilling story to read. The passage when Dillon has to plan the bomb is the most tensed scene.
